Changes to Botswana’s Income Tax for 2021
At the start of 2021, the Honourable Dr Thapelo Matsheka. Minister of Finance and Economic Development announced changes to Botswana’s income tax rates for individuals.
BURS income tax rates change with effect from 1st July 2021
New BURS Income Tax Rates
The new BURS income tax PAYE rates from 1st July 20201 for individuals resident in Botswana are:

These income tax changes result in a tax saving of P3,000 per year for someone earning over P13,000 per month.
